About Scrum Club

Scrum Club is a social club dedicated to boosting awareness of new technologies and the accompanying advantages of adoption. We take an interdisciplinary, humanities-oriented approach to technology. Our wider range of subject matter and sponsored events means a wider audience and a greater range of people. You never know who you will meet at one of our events!

Scrum Club seeks to shortcut the chicken and egg dilemma by organizing fun events and projects where professionals can come and spend a few hours to build their skills and network, then use those hours to count towards certification.

Who We Are

Scrum Club is a community group that helps technologists learn new skills, network for business, achieve personal growth, and do one thing to change the world. We are called “Scrum Club” because Scrum is the project management methodology that we use to get things done and the critical need we satisfy is to help technologists become effective Scrum practitioners.

  • Connect technologists with formal training and certification as CSMs
  • Support them in the first year to get from CSM to CSP by providing a supportive environment and opportunities to get hands-on experience
  • Spread awareness of Scrum in the context of a fun social setting
  • Build a basic understanding of the methodology through events and workshops
  • Incubate user groups and foster innovation
  • Provide college outreach to teach students project management before they graduate
  • Sign up for the Scrum Club newsletter to keep current with related news and events.

But we aren't just for the geeks: we're for anyone who has to work on a technology project as part of their normal course of business. That means we are also here for:

  • Executives
  • Entrepreneurs
  • Sales, Marketing, and PR Professionals
  • Social Media Consultants
  • HR Managers
  • Project Managers
  • Business Analysts
  • Developers
  • QA/Testers
